Vidanta Elegant tentatively sails on January 19 from Puerto Vallarta to Mazatlan
Grupo Vidanta has set January 19, 2021, as the tentative date to begin operations of Vidanta Elegant, the first Mexican luxury cruise ship that will travel from Puerto Vallarta to Mazatlan.
The 152.2-meter-long boat arrived in Puerto Vallarta last Saturday to prepare the last details with which it ensures it will offer a sophisticated service focused on the luxury segment.
The arrival of Vidanta Elegant is a good sign for the Puerto Vallarta tourism industry, as the start of operations would represent the restart of offshore travel in the Mexican Pacific.
The ship will make the Puerto Vallarta-Mazatlán-Puerto Vallarta cabotage route. It will have a capacity of 298 passengers and 149 cabins and suites with ocean view, distributed in six decks. Also, each cabin will have a concierge service to guarantee totally personalized attention.
Vidanta Elegant will be an exclusive cruise for adults only and will offer experiences immersed in the luxury and pleasure segment. It is equipped with 12 elegant specialty restaurants to delight the most demanding customers.
It also has bars, a spa, a comprehensive gym, nightly entertainment shows, boutiques, and a swimming pool on the upper deck that will provide passengers with spaces of comfort and exclusivity.
The cruise arrived without passengers on board and with 124 crew members of different nationalities for its operation and operation.
The vessel will be docked at dock 2 of the port, while the last finishes are being carried out to start operations soon, where the main port services will also be provided and will carry out the boarding of crew members to complete its workforce of collaborators.
Upon arrival, the protocols followed in ports due to the covid-19 pandemic were carried out, which was attended by public servants from International Health, Migration, Customs and SENASICA, who carried out the “Free Talk” to verify the health of the crew, issue the corresponding certificates and authorizations, as well as guarantee the safety of the cruise ship and the maritime-port community.

The Vidanta Elegant will have 149 luxurious staterooms and suites. It will have 6 decks that will house the services that we can usually find on any cruise ship.
However, the restaurants will be specialty restaurants designed to satisfy the most demanding palates and will have 11 original bars and lounges for a full rest.
In addition to the above, there will be a luxurious Spa and Gym and a beautiful indoor pool on the upper deck with multiple Jacuzzis.
One characteristic that highlights the service offered on board is that there will be a crew member for each passenger and a personal “concierge” for each cabin. The foregoing ensures 100% personalized attention.
To create the aforementioned dining experiences, Vidanta Elegant will feature a menu designed by two award-winning and renowned chefs: Eric Pansu, named Best Chef in France; and Pascal Molines, recognized as the best pastry chef in France and world champion.
The services on board will ensure an unprecedented level of luxury for the 298 passengers on board, this being exceptional when compared to the average capacity of the cruise industry which is 2,300 passengers per ship.
Due to the above and together with the exclusive crew attention offered, Vidanta Elegant will provide guests with a unique, elegant, and sophisticated experience.
It should be noted that in addition to the aforementioned characteristics, travelers will be able to divide their experience between the group’s largest resort in Nuevo Vallarta and the Vidanta Elegant, thus giving them access to the best vacation experiences both on the cruise and on land in its largest resort in the country and putting one more distinctive stamp on the offer.
Although the Vidanta Elegant travel itineraries are yet to be defined, Grupo Vidanta guarantees that the routes have been carefully studied and designed to explore exclusive destinations, thus providing and guaranteeing an authentic and intimate experience through Mexican traditions and culture on the most beautiful coasts of Mexico.
